Monday: One Week Ago Today...

we made some great memories at the Magic Kingdom.  And for one special little princess, meeting some of her most favorite princesses made for a very magical day!  Here she is, dressed in her Rapunzel finest, all ready to catch the bus to the Kingdom for this much anticipated day.
And here she is with her silly prince.
Our first stop once inside the gates literally was the princess meet and greet.  It is located immediately inside the entrance and since we got there right when the gates opened, there was a minimal wait (15 minutes).  We were so glad we did this, not only because Z got to meet Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Belle right away at the start of her day, but also because not too much later in the day, the wait was 70 minutes.  Crazy!  Here she is getting her autograph book all ready to go while waiting for her turn.
Everyone, including T, waited patiently for Z to have her day :)
However, once inside the princess room, you will not find one photo with T in it.  He said he was most definitely not going to have his picture taken with a princess and proceeded to hide behind Erin pretty much the entire time we were in the meeting room.  Goofball!  He had seen one of the other brothers of a girl in front of us get a big kiss from Sleeping Beauty on his cheek, leaving behind a bright red lipstick mark, and that pretty much sealed the deal for him to avoid any and all princesses :).  Z, on the other hand, relished every moment, as each princess took quite a few minutes to chat with her, ask her questions, sign her book and pose for photos.

A little later in the morning, Z was able to meet her current favorite, Rapunzel, in a separate area behind the castle.  This was a definite highlight for her and so fun to watch!
When we weren't meeting princesses, we certainly kept busy with other magical things.  Highlights included: It's A Small World (it's a classic, and really is one of the kids' favorites),

the Prince's Carousel,
and a whole host of other rides that I just didn't seem to get photos of - with favorites including The Buzz Light Year ride, People Mover and Monsters Inc. show in Tomorrowland, the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House in Adventureland, and the Haunted Mansion in Frontierland (though neither one of the kids were super thrilled with this one).  We ended our very full day with the Main Street Electrical Parade and fireworks above the castle, complete with Tinker Bell's (another favorite for Z) flight over our heads from the tip-top of the castle.  Here are some pics as we waited patiently for the parade and fireworks.

Both kiddos decided to use some of their money to buy lighted merchandise - a glow in the dark Tinkerbell for Z and a colorful crazy spinning wheel for T.
Finally, prior to the start of the fireworks, we were treated to an amazing light show projected onto the castle.  They take photos of guests captured that very day in the park and incorporate them into an awesome light show.  This was a new favorite for all of us!  Michael found a video of it on YouTube.  If you have the time, watch it.  It was a definite highlight of our trip and a perfect end to a very Magical Day!
