Bearer of the Rings

The first leg of our recent adventure took us to Fargo, ND for the wedding celebration of my cousin, Breana and her new husband, Sean. T had the special privilege of being the Ring Bearer for the grand event which made the day even more special. We headed out on Thursday, after having welcomed Auntie Erin and Lazlo to MN the previous day. T and Z kept themselves pretty busy in the car.Our hotel had a great pool area with lots of things for kids of ALL ages to enjoy.Following a successful rehearsal Thursday evening which was in turn followed by a yummy rehearsal picnic at the park, it was time for the BIG DAY!!! T donned his "special suit" and looked oh so sharp for "his job". And of course, what ring bearer ensemble would be complete without a stick? The wedding party started out with some outdoor photos on the campus of Concordia. T's the cute little guy in front, um, not looking at the camera. Oops! In addition to T and another cute little ring bearer, there were three precious little flower girls. Breana, you're a brave lady :) The leader of the petal tossers was Gabbie, the daughter of one of my other cousins. It was fun to get to know her more - she's a funny little lady who played her part in the wedding day perfectly!Outdoor photos were followed by some more pics at the church. We also managed to snap a full family photo before the wedding began. And once again, T is not looking at the camera. Gotta love him! And then it was time for the real deal. T walked down the aisle with confidence and took his job pretty seriously (at first). He even threw down his pillow so that he could fold his hands for the opening prayer - and also kindly instructed the other ring bearer to do the same.T made it through the ceremony relatively in tact - though his performance was certainly not without some three-year-old "I've-got-a-pillow-in-my-hand-and-a-whole-crowd-of-people-watching-me" antics. We've got footage of some of his comedic routine which I will save for a later post. Let's just say he provided a bit of comic relief as well as a rosy blush in his mama's cheeks. Even with Sir Goofball, the ceremony was beautiful.

With his job complete and the I Do's promised, T shed his suit coat, rolled up his sleeves and danced the night away (well, OK, he left a little after 9:00). You were my most favorite ring bearer ever, T. I'm so proud of you! And thank you so much, Bre and Sean, for including our little man in your special day. We had a blast!
