Another Zany Zoo Adventure

We ventured to the MN Zoo again today (gotta love that season pass). Our trip last week saw us visiting the African Trail and the Grizzly Coast, followed by some playtime at the new Woodland Adventure playground. Today's trip included a jaunt along the Minnesota Trail where we saw a bald eagle, some coyotes, wolves, otters, beavers, puma and other MN creatures, a trip to Discovery Bay (one of T's favorites) where we visited the dolphins, the starfish, a bunch of other fish and the sharks, followed up with another trip to the Woodland Adventure and the nearby Splash Pad. Here are some pics from our little adventure.

First up - T and the dolphin. It was a pretty cool experience. For some reason, this ocean friend took a liking to Michael and T and spent a good five minutes just playing with them through the glass. He would stick his nose right up to T's hand and then bob his head side to side. He would swim away and then come right back and continue to interact with them. It was cool. I was so intrigued with it all that by the time I took out the camera the show was nearly done. These are the best pics I got (I should have turned the flash off), but if you look closely, you can see the dolphin behind T.Little Miss Z enjoyed her time at the zoo, too. She snacked while watching her brother and lots of other kiddos splash in the water. She also sported her new shiner on her forehead, the result of a tumble down 3 steps this morning before we left. Bummer! All in all, it was a great day!
