T Pledges Allegiance

T loves flags. When driving in the car, we'll often hear a shout of glee each time he spots one out the window. Home Depot is one of his favorite stores, not just because of all the cool tools, but also because at our Home Depot, each aisle has a flag at the end. The route that we take when we go for walks around the neighborhood includes passing by two houses that have flagpoles in their front yards. T gets absolutely giddy when we walk by them and will often crane his little neck around long after we pass the house, just so he can still see the flag. We call him our "Little Patriot".

This morning T thought that one of his toy flags needed to go on an adventure with him. So, he gently tucked it in his hand, crawled up into his playset and then proudly waved the flag when he reached the top of the landing.

The fun didn't stop there though. The next adventure....taking the flag down the slide. This activity repeated itself for a good 15 minutes. Up with the flag. Down with the flag. And each time he landed with a little thump at the bottom of the slide, flag in hand, he let out a patriotic squeal!
