The End of a Season

This past Saturday marked the end of T's 2011-2012 basketball season (sounds so official, doesn't it?).  In reality, he played in two different programs, one right after the other, through two different athletic associations in and near our town.  The first was through EVAA and started way back in October, ending just before Christmas.  It was a kindergarten coed league and he and his teammates agreed upon the name Wolfpack.  He had practice on Monday nights and games on Saturdays.  He LOVED it!  Making it even more fun was the fact that Daddy was one of his coaches and his good buddy, Britton, just happened to be placed on his same team (totally unplanned).  It made for a great time!

T wasn't satisfied to be done in December, so upon recommendation from some other parents from his first team, we signed T up for another round of b-ball through Farmington.  Thus, after a Christmas/January hiatus, much to his delight T started up round two of his basketball stint.  This time he played Saturdays only, all kindergarten boys.  Daddy was one of his coaches once again, and again, he LOVED it!  He is definitely starting to improve and more than anything, I just love watching him have FUN!  Here are some pics from his last day as a Tiger!
After his last game on Saturday, T told me he didn't want to be done and asked me if I could sign him up for another basketball session.  I told him we would just have to play hoops at home or at the gym because there just aren't anymore basketball sessions right now.  He was a bit bummed by this response but perked up when I told him Rookie Camp (baseball) will be starting next month.  Basketball definitely seems to be this kiddo's game of choice these days :)
