I realized tonight that somehow I neglected to post pictures of the kiddos' Christmas program at church. It took place a week ago this past Sunday, December 11. Here's our attempt to get a few quick pics of the kiddos in their Christmas best before leaving for church that morning.
This year, the Christmas program was a play entitled, "Broadcasting Christmas". The basic setting was a 1940s radio show, with a couple of small acts airing on the show before the main radio program. For Z and the rest of my little class of 2 and 3-year-old's, their part consisted of the reciting of a poem and the singing of two songs - they were the first act on the radio show. T's class also had a poem with individual speaking parts and sang the same two songs with my class. The rest of the radio show consisted of a story of a woman, "Miss Placed" searching for the true meaning of Christmas. It was very cute. The older boys who typically may not have been too thrilled with being in front of a bunch of people got to be the sound effects for the radio play - it was perfect! Towards the end of the program, Miss Placed and her professor friend stumble upon a church service and a live nativity scene where they finally discover what Christmas is truly all about. The boys' in T's class played the part of the shepherds for this part of the production.
All in all, my little group was pretty much the quintessential little kids Sunday School program. They looked adorable. Some kids said their part, some kids didn't. We had the sweet little girls holding hands, posing in their pretty dresses and waving to their loved ones in the crowd. We had the busy little boys who just couldn't keep their hands to themselves causing one little boy to fall down the steps. We had the cryer as well as the shouting singer. It was comical but yet so very perfect :) T and his crew did well and the older kiddos really did a super job in telling/reminding us about the real reason for this wonderful season. "Broadcasting Christmas" was a hit!
