Operation...

CHRISTMAS CHILD!!!

As has become tradition for our little family, we once again participated in Operation Christmas Child this holiday season.  And this year, since T and Z are both old enough for the Wednesday night Kid Zone activities at our church, in addition to the two boxes that they each filled at home, this year they also got to participate in the mass packing of boxes at church.  So many people donated items to be packaged this year - it was awesome.  The lovely ladies in charge of the event set up the donated items in a "store" format and after carefully selecting boxes, the kids were then able to "shop" for items to fill up their boxes.  Here is T doing just that.
After carefully selecting their gifts, the next order of events was wrapping and packing the shoebox.

This was followed by writing a letter to include in their boxes.
When all was said and done, T and Z each packed and wrote letters for three boxes.  It is so fun to think that 3 little girls and 3 little boys somewhere around the world will be getting boxes packed with treats, goodies and love from my little kiddos in MN.  In all, the Kid Zone crew packed about 50 boxes in little over an hour that evening.  Such a great way to kick off the season of giving!
