No Sunday Best Today
There won't be any skirts, boots or bear buns on the blog today. Unfortunately, we had to trade in our Sunday best for comfy clothes, Tylenol, kleenex and buckets. Little Miss Z is dealing with a nasty cold - runny nose and a cough, pretty standard. Her spirits have not been dampened though and she was busy this morning taking care of some important phone calls.
Big T, on the other hand, is in a bit worse shape. Last night at 11:30 he awoke with a tummy ache which quickly translated into his first ever encounter with the stomach flu (not bad to make it nearly 4 1/2 years). I spent the night camped out on his floor on a sleep mat next to the newly coined "spit up bucket" because I wasn't really sure what to expect. My duty as bucket holder was tried out several times in the night between the hours of 11:30 and 3:30 after which point his stomach was sufficiently emptied and sleep won out.
He had a period of perkiness late this morning but is now konked out downstairs in the recliner - he's not able to keep much down yet besides water (which is an improvement from early this morning) but I'm really praying that this a) is a short lived bug and b) leaves our house as quickly as it came and spares the rest of us from its grossness (Lysol and Clorox wipes are my best friends today). In T's words, "It's not very fun to have the flu."

Bummer guys! Hope you feel better soon T and Z!!!
This stomach bug hit everyone in our household this week too!! It started with Samuel and I was convinced it was something he ate, but then the next night I woke up with the same thing and by Friday David and Amelia had it. Thankfully it was short lived for us... about 24hrs for the kids and 48-72 for David and I... here's hoping for the same thing for you.
So sorry for all of you. Bless her heart, Z can still smile - No doubt your TLC is helping. Love you guys. Grams.
