"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...to him be glory...for ever and ever!" (Ephesians 3:20-21)

T is for Tuesday. Tuesday is for T.

While cuddling with T tonight at bedtime, I asked him what he thought he might like to be when he grows up. T's response, "A servant." We had just finished reading the story of The Three Kings from his Jesus Storybook Bible (one of his favorites from the Good Book). The ending of the story talks about how the Baby King was different than all other kings in that he did not come to be served but to be a servant. Quite often after reading this story, T likes to ask about what a servant is. Tonight we had given him examples of things that he does everyday that make him a servant, like helping me set the table or holding the door open for me each day when we come home and my arms are filled with bags, backpacks and baby carriers. I found it quite encouraging after this conversation to then hear our little man decide that when he grows up, he is going to continue to be a servant. I look forward to watching his aspirations unfold. Oh, and for the record, he also told me that he would be a servant who has USA, Canada and Finland flags, as well as a big drum set with lots of cymbals.
