"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...to him be glory...for ever and ever!" (Ephesians 3:20-21)

T is for Tuesday. Tuesday is for T.

T has a fear of the car wash - I think it has something to do with the loud noises that surround him as all of the spinning mops and brushes cleanse our vehicle. In general, he is not a fan of loud sounds (unless he is the one making them). With the arrival of warmer weather this week, many people have made a beeline to the car wash to remove the salt and grime that so beautifully adorns all modes of transportation in our neck of the woods. One day, while out and about doing errands this week, I told T that we were going to drive by the car wash and if there wasn't a long line, we were going to make a stop and give the van a much needed bath. He immediately went into his, "but I don't LIKE the car wash" speech. I had already decided that if this was his response, I was going to teach him a Bible verse to help squelch his fear. So, here was our conversation:

Me: "T, do you know what God says in the Bible about being scared?"
T: "What?"
Me: "God says, 'Do not be afraid. I am with you.'"
T: "Oh, that's a good thing."

And he proceeded to repeat the verse to himself and to me.

Well, much to T's relief, the line at our preferred car wash was about 12 cars deep and with two kiddos who were both ready to eat, I decided to fore go the washing. However, the next day, when again we were out and about, I said, "Hey, T. I'm going to drive by the car wash again and check to see if there is a line." Very quietly from the back seat, I heard, "Do not be afraid. I am with you."
