Hey people! T here. Hope you all had a great day yesterday celebrating the 4th of July. For me, it was one of the best days EVER! It was a day filled with some of my most favorite things - flags, marching bands, parades and fireworks. Here's a recap of the day's happenings:

We started off the day with a parade.

We're at my Pake and Beppe's house in IL and my cousins G1 and G2, as well as my Auntie A are here. So we all headed out to the parade and set up camp.

The parade was awesome. It was filled with lots of patriotic things like flags,

and noisy things like firetrucks and marching bands,

and then some more unusual things - like little ponies,

and REALLY big dogs!

They also threw out a whole lot of candy. G2 really liked collecting that sweet stuff.

After the parade was done, we headed back to the house and did a lot of playing around outside. My Beppe found this really cool frisby that we played with for hours!!

Another favorite activity is throwing rocks in my Pake's pond. I think we might have scared the fish away because we haven't seen any of them since.

Then it was time for lunch. We had a good ole' fashioned BBQ. One of the best parts, in my opinion, was the dessert. Check it out!

It was a USA flag cookie that was brought to me special by my cousin G1, all the way from OH in her suitcase. It was a
really good cookie. Thanks G1!!! After lunch was nap time, followed by more playing outside. We got pretty dirty so the 3 of us kids took a dip in the big bathtub. It was quite an experience!!

By the time baths were done, it was dark enough for fireworks. We got to try out some sparklers in the backyard. It was my very first time celebrating with these sweet things. I was a little cautious at first,

but after watching G1, who is a sparkling expert,

I became much more daring.

We finished off the evening by watching some BIG fireworks high up in the sky.....right from the backyard of my Pake and Beppe's house. It was the best 4th of July yet. I can't wait until next year! Here's a few more shots from the days events.
