A Backyard Send Off

Hey people! T here. It's been awhile since I did some writing on the blog but this past weekend we had a party at our house that I thought it best for me to tell you about. The party was in honor of my Uncle Henrik, Auntie Carrie and cousins E and N. You see, after two years of living just a short bit away from my house, these guys are now moving to a new house in a new town because my Uncle Henrik finished his nurse anesthetist program and got a job in another city. We wanted to give them a proper send off so we invited some of our friends over for a backyard barbecue. We started off the evening with some tasty food. My cousins, along with our buddy E, got to sit together at the picnic table and enjoy some good eating.
Sometimes it's hard for us to concentrate on eating when we sit together like this, but we all did manage to chomp on some cheeseburgers and an assortment of other summer fare.We followed the main course up with some chocolate dessert delicacies - homemade chocolate chip cookies AND brownies. YUM!!!With full tummies, we next ventured out into the yard for some entertainment and fun - including swinging, playing in the sandbox and soccer. My Daddy mowed a baseball diamond into our backyard which of course was a big hit with my cousin E! Big boys and little boys alike all joined in on the fun!It just so happend that our big bash was on Father's Day so my Mommy captured a couple of daddy/son photos, too.And even though the party was a TON of fun and we're all excited for Henrik, Carrie, E and N as they head out on a new adventure, I'll be honest, I really Really REALLY don't want them to go. In fact, if you want to know how I'm feeling about the whole situation, just take a look at this last photo. It pretty much sums up my sentiments. We're going to miss you, Bjorndahl's!!!!
