The Elusive Pake

Either T is teasing me or my dad (T's Pake) is making secretive appearances exclusively to the little boy who lives at our house. Let me explain. Yesterday, while I was making his bed, T asked me if we could buy a trumpet today. This line of questioning is not unusual at our house. The only thing that varies is the particular instrument that he requests. Anyway, when I asked him where we would buy a trumpet, he responded, "At the instrument store." A very logical response, I thought, since usually he says Target. Because I do not recall ever bringing T to an instrument store, I asked him if he had ever been to one. He said, "Yep." I said, "Really? Who took you to an instrument store?", to which he replied, "Pake did!"

Later that day, when we were leaving to go to Target (to buy groceries, not a trumpet), T closed the door to his bedroom and said that someone was taking a nap in his room. Typically when he does this, he then tells me that it is his beloved Blue Dog who is napping. However, yesterday, when I asked him who was napping, he said, "Pake is. Be quiet." Then, upon our return from running a multitude of errands, T went upstairs and opened his bedroom door and exclaimed, "Pake's awake!"

So, Mister Pake, according to Beppe you have been in Texas all week but, if in reality, you are actually somewhere near us, would you please come out and show your face to the rest of us?!
