Grandpa and Grandma L. brought some pretty unusual Easter treats for the boys this weekend. They weren't your traditional baskets filled with candy. No, instead, the youngest cousin got a xylophone while the two elder cousins got their first pair of roller blades - Fisher Price style. So, Saturday night after supper, T and E strapped on their skates and turned "the loop" on our main floor into a skating rink. They both started out with a lot of parental support.

But as the evening progressed, they both gained confidence in this new found sport.

In fact, E got so brave in venturing out on his own that he took a few spills on the floor. Though he did not seem one bit bothered by them, we all thought it best to pull out some protective gear.

And even though Little N did not quite meet the age requirement for the roller derby, he did a fine job of serving as the event's official referee!
