Sizzlin' Hot Cook In The Kitchen

As many of you know, Michael does A LOT of coaching at his school. As much as he enjoys it, he also really looks forward to this season of the year when he gets a little bit of time off. With the conclusion of boys' basketball last week (at the middle school level anyway), he now has a small break until track season starts in the spring. As such, he is home a bit earlier in the evenings, which T and I both enjoy. So, a couple of nights ago, Michael was home early and he offered to help with the supper preparations. While I was on one side of the kitchen chopping veggies, he was manning the stove, browning hamburger and monitoring the boiling noodles. All of a sudden, I heard a loud, "WHOOOAAAA!"I quickly turned around to see an on-fire Michael....well, not Michael exactly, but his shirt. It seems the tail ends of his dress shirt had slipped under the pasta pot and caught fire on our gas top. His shirt literally was in flames - which were quickly extinguished in the nearby kitchen sink. Unfortunately, the shirt (which was only a couple of weeks old) will not be as easily repaired.A definite wardrobe malfunction!

Wow, glad you're okay, Michael! Did you get burned or singe any hair at all? I'd say that definitely counts as a wardrobe malfunction!

Oh my goodness! That is certainly another log on the memory fire, isn't it! I'm glad you are safe. I'm sure you have a nephew that could have helped you out if need be as well!
