Museum of Fun

On Thursday, we headed out on an adventure like none I have ever had before. After scoring a free pass from our library, the three of us headed into the city to visit the Children's Museum. Once we checked in, our first stop was an exhibit where I learned about toys from all around the world. I liked pushing the buttons and watching different parts of the map light up.Our next stop was the Curiosity Center. This was a great room. I got to play at rice tables and bean tables,I saw some little mice playing in cages, made words on a big magnetic wall and even created my own work of art.Our next stop was the World Market. I was able to shop in a grocery store that was just my size, and after selecting all of my food, I even got to check my groceries out all by myself. There was a conveyor belt, a scanner and a cash register. It was cool! After finishing our shopping, we ventured to the Occupation corner where you could dress up in all different uniforms. I chose to be a crossing guard.....bet you can't guess why!
Our next stop was the water area. There were lots of fun things to do at this spot. One of my favorites was the bubble table. There were huge bubble wands. My Daddy helped me out and we made a gigantic bubble. After we were all done splashing, we headed for drier ground and checked out one of the traveling exhibits that is at the museum right now. It is all about Sesame Street. My two favorite activities in this room were the steel drumsand my chat with Elmo. I couldn't believe that I was actually on TV with Elmo! After leaving Sesame Street, we headed to a playground area that was themed around a bunch of different MN habitats. There were tunnels to explore, big windows to look out, swinging bridges to cross and of course, slides! Our final stop for the morning was in another wilderness playground. In this room, I got to crawl through tons of tunnels in a giant ant hill and I also got to explore a bunch of streams and their habitats. We finished our adventure with lunch in the skyway and then headed home for some much needed nap time. It was a great day!
