S'more Summer

Although the calendar showed that today was the first day of fall, the temperature outside certainly did not reflect that. With a high around 90 degrees, T enjoyed one of his favorite summer past times....playing with his wiggle sprinkler. He had a grand time squirting and spraying water on himself, as well as all around the backyard.
He gave our deck a good little washing, too. However, while the day time temps feel like summer, the evenings still cool down nicely and remind us that the seasons are indeed changing. Last night we took advantage of the perfect weather and had a little bonfire with the Bjorndahl's. In the beginning, the two oldest cousins enjoyed sitting back and watching the flames.Little N, on the other hand, had conked out in the van on the way to our house, so he started out his campfire experience with a snooze by the fire. The slumber and sitting did not last long, however. As soon as the fire was ready, E roasted the first marshmallows with great expertise.Everyone joined in on the roasting fun and T enjoyed a very tasty treat! It was a great way to spend the last official day of summer.
