So Long Old Friend

They came and took her away today. T and I watched out the window with heavy hearts as they loaded her up and drove off. For nearly ten years and 186,792 miles, Old Blue has been a faithful companion, taking us here and there and everywhere. She has traversed many a state and bravely survived, no conquered, countless North Dakota winters. Old Blue could drive that endless stretch of interstate from Grand Forks to Minneapolis with her eyes closed and she could cruise on auto pilot from home to work and back. She was the first car that I truly "owned" and she will not be easily replaced. Thanks for the memories, Old Blue. It's been a pleasure riding with you.

You left such a wonderful memorial in Old Blue's place. She will live in our hearts as well. TR2

I feel your pain, brother. It is a sad thing to say goodbye to a faithful vehicle. I am hoping I won't have to say goodbye to my Cammy anytime soon.

A nice ode to a faithful car. Sara felt the same way when we finally had to get rid of her Dodge Shadow.
