New Beginnings

Well, we're back! We just returned from a busy week of fun and new beginnings in West Virginia. First and foremost, we got to meet our brand new nephew, Mr. Grant Finley Crane. He was born on August 8 and weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds, 2 ounces! And I thought T was big!! We flew in late on the evening of his birth, so we were able to meet Grant on his second day of life. He is absolutely precious! His big sister, Grace, could not be more proud. She is a wonderful little helper to her mom and she can't seem to give her new brother enough attention. Another new beginning we experienced while in WV was T entering the world of mobility. Within a matter of days, he started walking independently, crawling, and climbing stairs (in that order). More about these developements will follow below. And finally, also during our stay, Michael got in on a little remodeling project, helping Curt and Amy finish their basement. The two of them put in some long hours and had to get pretty creative when sheetrocking the ceiling with 12'X4' pieces of drywall, but the end result was well worth their efforts. All in all, we had a wonderful time and we are so thankful for the safe arrival of "little" Grant (aka Boomer)!
